My Hockey Trail to Christ

I attended camp in my middle school years and didn't make the return until I was a counselor roughly 10 years later. I was advancing in my college career quickly, and found myself slipping into the lie of "it's because of me, not God". But soon realizing if your not playing for him, your just losing for the world. Ending my career in college with injuries and heart ache. If I hadn't had the encouragement of camp in my early years, I would have truly been lost with no sense of Christ in my life. To have that foundation of Jesus and knowing he's got your back on and off the ice, there is no better feeling! HMI was and still is an amazing influence to my spiritual growth. From campers to counselors, to on ice staff and worship leaders. There is no shortage of God's love in this place!
