My Hockey Trail to Christ
Looking back on my younger years it was apparent that much of my character was developed from my summers spent with HMI in Chicago. I always looked forward to spending time with mentors close to Christ and fellow hockey players. The game of hockey is rough and tough, and the ultimate test of your faith. Camp gave me a week to experience the grace of God outside the church, and I am forever thankful for that. I can't imagine learning to walk with Christ without HMI, where I was taught to Trust In The Lord no matter the obstacles. The acronym, TITL, has remained on the knob of my stick ever since my first camp in 2009, but more importantly it has reminded me that I'm playing for someone much more important than myself, Christ.
